Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream" sold for a record $120 million at auction. How sad, again another artist work is over priced way beyond their death. I get so tired of how it is when they have died is when their work is appreciated. He did live to an old age but went half-crazy. If today’s society could only appreciate the hardships of being an artist of today’s world while they are still alive it would be beneficial to all. If I did this painting, the critics and people I know would put my work down. Let us get real and take notice of the ones who are still alive. As an artist, I find this painting fantastic because it is full of emotion of most artists’ lives. We are all screaming! Wake up people it is art! You cannot do it wrong if your heart and soul went into it.
